Description of work from the Artist's perspective.

"I find that the fine detail within the work draws the viewer closer, although visually pleasing from a distance, from a closer perspective the intricate detail becomes visible!  Often time needs to be taken to interpret the story within the work".

"I enjoy a freedom to play with colour, aiming to create rich vibrant, inviting, balanced works with an emphasis on the beauty of the feminine form".

"Some of my work is light and fanciful, visually  extravagant, elegant, and sometimes quirky. Tutus, corsets, striped stockings, butterflies, ball gowns,  corsets, ribbons, bows, stilettos, flowers, Venetian masks... and the list goes on".

"Some work tells a story, often quite personal, with symbolic elements such as the butterfly, scattered rose petals, and the corset  repeating throughout the various works.  Telling stories of the delicate emotional balance that is life and the human condition. Capturing a moment in time (feelings and situations) - making static the ever-changing emotional states we all experience (even if only momentarily). Feelings that are universal, crossing barriers of age and often gender (spanning all generations) a story everyone can relate to.  In short, life's emotional journeys".
